After zooming in (thank goodness for touch screen computers) I can see your right. It says Espace on the rear below the Renault badge.
I didn’t think about the Espace as it wasn’t offered in the U.K. so wasn’t on my mind.

Probably the first time I’ve ever seen a 2CV grille cover actually being used. Was it a very cold day?

According to the owner’s manual:
Grille muff - Fit when ambient temperatures fall below 10 degrees C; remove at 15 degrees C.
(Suddenly remembering I should buy one for the Minis!)
